COSTA MESA, Calif — The Orange County Model Engineers hosted more than 50 members and invited guests over the weekend to celebrate their 2023 Spring Meet.
The three-day event was highlighted by days of running trains around the nearly five miles of track located in Fairview Park on the east side of Placentia and by the activity and buzz within the club’s compound and steaming bays.
The annual event features visitors from around Southern California and even included some guests from as far as Utah. Live steamers from the surrounding area joined in on the continuous running around the layout, and several of the club’s younger members spent hours running around the layout.
The weather was perfect for the entire long weekend.
